Zotero

Zotero is a free, easy-to-use tool to help you collect, organize, cite, and share your research sources. It is available for download for Windows, Mac, and Linux.

Zotero Learning Module:

This guided module will walk you through the step-by-step process of creating a new Zotero account and some of the basic functionality of the product. This module will present you with a block of text instructions on the left hand side of the screen and a live screen view or screen shots of Zotero on the right when possible. This setup will allow you to work through the various aspects of Zotero at your own pace. 

 

Zotero Settings at OSU

To connect to OSU's subscribed content online from your records within Zotero you will need to do the following:

  1. In your Zotero application click on "Edit" on the top of the screen
  2. In the submenu that opens, click on "Preferences"
  3. In the new window that opens, click on the "Advanced" tab
  4. In the "OpenURL" box enter in the following URL (this can be copied and pasted into the OpenURL field)
    1. http://nf4hr2ve4v.search.serialssolutions.com
  5. Once entered click "OK" at the bottom of the box. Your changes will be in effect the next time that you open Zotero
