The function of Ohio State University (OSU) Extension is to provide outreach and education to people in their own communities around Ohio. Extension office are located in each county to provide in-person support and many house field specialists who may be connected to public health agencies in that county. Extension staff work with people who are conducting community health assessments and addressing health problems in the community every day. Extension educators and field specialists are available to partner with local public health practitioners to access resources and help connect them with others working on health in that community. 

Online extension resources include the Ask an Expert service where you may receive research-based answers to a question on your specific topic. Extension educators have also produced fact sheets on a variety of topics that are available on the OhioLine website.
