The Ohio State University Medical Center is a national leader in the conduct of clinical trials for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases and injuries. These trials have led to some of the most sophisticated new treatments available for patients throughout the world. Hundreds of researchers at OSU are currently involved in nearly 1,000 clinical trials. ClinicalConnection is a study participant placement firm. Features of their web site include a notification service that lets users know when clinical trials that match their area of interest are available; a searchable clinical trials database; a message board and forum; basic information about clinical trials, such as the phases of clinical trials, insurance information, the benefits of participating; and information for clinics and investigators about the placement services that the company provides.
